The January 2009 launch of ShoWare Center marked the beginning of a new era for Kent where the community is truly becoming a regional destination. ShoWare Center builds on recent downtown revitalization efforts, including the development of Kent Station, and it offers a wide array of new events drawing visitors from around the Puget Sound region and beyond.
In addition to Thunderbirds hockey, concerts and family shows, ShoWare Center hosts many community-focused events throughout the year. Finally, Kent has its own premier venue to host high school graduations, regional athletic tournaments, meetings, banquets and other events.
